THE EYE STRUCTURE AND FUNCTION

2 out of 2 customers found this reveiw helpful
As an Optometry Undergraduate spending money is very easy to do especially on textbooks, and at the high prices I want the books I buy to be useful. This book IS worth the price in my opinion. The Human Eye is an EXCELLENT book discussing the anatomy and physiology of the eye in great detail and in a friendly and informative manner which encourages further reading, rather than boring you away. The Chapters are broken down at the beginning into segments with brief two line highlights illustraing what can be found at that point, and so it is very easy to locate information. Also with each paragraph of information about a subject within that chapter, a set of bold script gives a brief summary of the topics to be discussed and so even with a quick skim through the text explanations are conveyed. With plenty of diagrams and illustrations, plus box-outs which discuss relevant side topics, i would defy anyone to dismiss this book out of hand, and with its helpful style which doesn't assume the reader is an expert i would recommend The Human Eye to students who need to gain an insight into the biology of the eye.

Of all the Textbooks i own this is one of the few which is of constant use; Question about the eye, chances are its answer is in this book!
