This easy-on-the-eyes well sized(8" x 5")guide to Rocks & Minerals by James Lagomarsino is full of sparkling detail; every page but 1 has colorful and bold illustrations. Garnets, Emeralds, Jasper, Agates, Quartz, are some of those that I can spell. Native silver and gold are represented beautifully here. There are so many that I have never heard of or seen and since the rocks have been cracked open you can see the beauty inside. It has an index, a glossary, a very readable explanation of each mineral, and the TOC is excellent. Care was taken in the production of this book. It will last. A lovely picture book of gems, in a great size.
