Why is it not original i hear you ask? well, this is basically the novelisation of the battlestar galactica tv show miniseries. I bought all four modern galactica novels and started with this one first. As a big fan of the show i immediately bonded with the characters, despite the fact that i knew them from the tv show the novel itself lets you in on a few of the characters most inner thoughts and feelings.

It was good to get more of a glimpse into the heads of lee adama and kara thrace et al, but the plot itself was exactly as expected, with a couple of extra scenes added but nothing major.

I recommend reading this but dont expect any surprises.
