When I bought this book I was failry new to witchcraft, and though I'm not a regular at practicing witchcraft, I'm very into it and I love the whole concept of it. Marina helps you find belief in true Magic, and though this book is for beginners, its very practical, and the spells are fun and enlightening without delving too deep into real meditation-like things, and also without forcing paganism upon anyone, which I think is how paganism should be approached. The Spells are great to perform, and all the spells I have performed have worked so far. In other words, yes this is great, a must have for witches new to the craft, but her next book 'Spells for the Witch in you, are somewhat more helpful and detailed.

This was the second witchcraft book I bought, and it's one of the best ones I own. I write a lot of my own spells now, but I still use it as a guide. Thanks to this book I'm now part of the Wiccan religion, and I'm only 11!

If you're just looking for spells...

If you're just looking for ready-made spells, then this book is fine. However, if you're looking for information about the religion of Wicca, this book falls very short of the mark, in my view, and I would recommend looking elsewhere - I don't believe Marina Baker was trying to create a guide to Wicca, as she puts forth hardly any of the main tenets of belief. As a pagan, and Wiccan seeker, I also believe that the best spells are the ones you create yourselves, rather than following the instructions another gives. That being said, I do own this book, and I enjoyed reading it.

I bought this book recently and it is full of very useful spells. It contains things to get you through school times, boy trouble, and it also has spells to help others which is great. A very interesting and informative read. Great for beginners and a lovely book. Well done and thanks. blessed be.

I found this really informative, instructive and fascinating. Easy to delve into, Ms Baker has bought wicca into the 21st Century while retaining all the feel of spells as an ancient art. Really great book. Many thanks for this great read.
