A really inspirational book

As a beginner, I found this book really interesting. I particularly enjoyed reading about the different seasons and it was good to learn about the different sabbats.
The book is divided up into months of the year and I have enjoyed delving into it throughout the year. It's been my favourite bedtime read!
There are some really great, simple spells to have a go at and a lovely, seasonal poem at the end of each chapter.
The only part I didn't find particularly useful was for each day there is a list of things relating to that day. e.g. colour, herb, crystal and sun sign although it was good to know the phase of the moon for any given day.
So in summary I would definately recommend it to anyone.
After reading it I feel more in touch with the seasons, the Earth and the Moon. I can't wait to read the 2008 Almanac!

What a fantastic book. An absolute gem. Anyone wanting a quick and fascinting welcome into the world of magic must read this book! Some of the spell and sorcery in this book are second to none. Who you could change the look of your witch with just a click of the fingers!
Although some tricks are proving irreversible (I turned my labrador into a bit of a monster and am now left publicly stroking my monster each and everyday) the amount of magic packed into one book compares only to the amount of meat that my lady-friend Jamie can pack inside herself.
Unfortunately I gave the book only 4 stars as it was quite a read, often having to wait months for the planets to align before I could start a new chapter. All in all though The Witch's Almanac is a magical read in every sense of the word

This book is a very good example of what Wicca books should be like. It explains everything you need to know, albeit quickly (therefore it is not for the completel beginner) and it gives you ideas of spells, rituals and other things you can do each month and each season. Additionally, it has a day-by-day section giving you little tidbits of information that could just make that next ritual, or esabat.I'd recommend it to any witch/wiccan who knows about the Craft, but would like to know more. Beginners should start with Scott Cunningham before moving on to this one.
