This book is more for linguists and those who have some experience with English Language as a subject. It goes in to great detail to give you tone inclination and direct to English translations (i.e. Eyelash is translated literally as 'hair of the eye'). This is a terrific book but I would not recommend it to anyone who did not have any linguistical knowledge of English to start with. If your prepared to do the back reading on linguistic use then this book is great. It certainly is not the 'Teach Yourself...' breed of fast language learning.
