Dissapointing book that was recomended to me by a lecturer. little did i know that it was his colleagues book and that was why they recomended it. i didnt particularly find it very useful nor was laid out very well. I am sure there are better books out there on the subject

A fantastic book, i would recomend this book above others for all strutural engineer undergrades and grads in employment. The book takes you through the step by step on designing strutural elements. A MUST BYE IT!!!!!

Hi there! This is just a very first personal impression about solely the look of the book; not about its content which seems superb indeed, as Mr Easterbrook also points out at the back! It looks like everything has been amateurishly edited in rush using Word or any other cheap text editor - some of the graphs and illustrations are of poor quality. Also (due to space saving I guess) everything is presented too dense and squished, having e.g. least blank lines left between figures, examples and the main text and with a fonts style and size that don't help! It is really sad feeling that you hold a high-quality textbook, in terms of technical information and science presented, which on the other hand visually puts you down to read!
