What struck me first about this thick and obscenely expensive paperback was its negativity. It describes wheelchairs and various other walking aids as though you will definitely need them. It concentrates on all the negative sides of MS - admittedly, several - but does not attempt to address the positive side or investigate the tried-and-tested methods of yoga, meditation, a stress-free lifestyle and a completely natural diet. It makes no suggestion that you can treat and control it yourself, but rather depends very much on the opinions of doctors, neurologists and various other 'experts' who have no practical knowledge, merely theory,about this condition. Like many other writers on the subject, they have no idea how MS affects the average person. They intensify my opinion that you have to HAVE MS in order to write sensitively about it.

I have had M.S. for about two years. I waslooking for a book to answer specific questions I had. This book did a great job. The format of the book is arranged in the question and answer style. You can look up a question in the index, go to the page identified and get the information without reading the entire book. This is a great advantage in gaining information on specific problems associated with a very complicated disease.
