This is a much improved version of an already very competent first edition. Described by the Chief Examiner for GCSE Sociology for the Southern Examining Group as 'setting the standard for textbooks at this level' I have found this ideal for use with my 16 year olds doing GCSE and 'A' level in an FE college. I would urge my colleagues to at least give it a trial with their students - they will soon find their students learn more through a host of ready-made student activities. Highly recommended for those new to sociology.
