As a Tutor on the BTEC National in Early Years, I would recommend this book to my students. It is nicely presented and sets out each unit covered very well. The one thing that makes this book slightly inferior to the other BTEC text book, edited by Kath Bulman is that it only covers 2 of the optional units, wheras the Bulman book covers 5 optional units. I prefer the layout and presentation of this book but you just can't ignore the fact that the Bulman book covers more.

A beautifully presented book that really 'invites' the reader in. This will be top of the 'to buy' list recommended to my childcare students. Packed full of information and ideas, yet written in a very accessible and deceptively simple style.
