Three stars for hero cocking up...

...and quite literally the hero cocks it up which in essence I loved.
He's not perfect, he's not the best at his job. I appreciated the fact that Patterson makes it such.
Honeymoon is good to begin with but then it ends leaving the reader unsatisfied. Which was how I felt afterwards with so many unanswered questions. I dont want to give out any spoilers but we never do find out WHY?????????????

I loved this booked and rate it highly. If you are a thriller fan, the best time to read Honeymoon is when you need a bit of a rest from books which are a little too bleak or gritty...this book hasn't got any twist or turns, I didn't find myself hating the villain nor did it put me on edge of my seat but it did make me smile a lot and I loved the central character (John O'Hara)
But I have to admit that the biggest problem with this book is that the characters have been developed far beyond the storyline and at the end of the novel I found myself wanting to know more about them which is a bit of a let down. Still it makes a great holiday read.
BRILLIANT!

The main character is a minx with no shame and a homicidal hobby, men can't say no and she can't stop killing them (for their money of course!) even though she likes them. Easy to read and well written, no stress no deep thinking required just read and enjoy.
Really disappointing

Every time I buy a James Patterson book I do so hoping that he's gotten some of that old flair back and I'll love it. This didn't happen with Honeymoon and I've decided that I've given him the benefit of the doubt one too many times now and Honeymoon will be my last James Patterson purchase.
The story centers around a woman named Nora Sinclair who's being investigated by the FBI (although she doesn't know that) because her husband/fiancés keep dying in the same way. In an effort to see if she's the quintessential `Black Widow' or just really unlucky with men the FBI send in John O'Hara to pose as Craig Reynolds, Insurance guy with a life-insurance policy from Nora's latest dead fiancé leaving her $1.9m better off.
While the story itself wasn't a bad idea the execution just didn't live up. The characters weren't developed enough to have a real insight into them and the only one we really got to know was the baddy and you come away liking her. The good-looking guy falling for the beautiful woman was just such a cliché! And the ending......that was seriously the worst ending ever. As somebody else mentioned the letter from Nora's Mum was never explained and I was left wondering if I'd missed a chapter! I also felt that the whole deal about the Tourist was pointless and unnecessary. All in all this was a seriously below par book and has signed my `adios' to James Patterson.
