my favourite poems from standing female nude are those with political overtones or comments on society. My favourite, Education for leisure, is a comical yet dark natured poem involving the thoughts of a reject from society over looked by everyone. Its black humour cleverly disguises the serious content of the lack of care in the community. Many of the poems in this collection use black humour to disguise otherwise taboo subjects including child abuse, racism, education, the holocaust and sexuality. ill leave with my favourite line 'the cat avoids me.the cat knows i am a genius,and has hidden itself' truely inspired!
