Customer Reviews

Accessible, comprehensive guide to UK copyright law

It is rare to find an accessible, practical law book which still contains sufficient guidance to be valuable. This A4, spiral bound book not only contains an up to date summary of the law of copyright, but a number of examples, comments and example agreements. Fully indexed, with special reference to Scottish law, the guide is very easy to use, even if the reader has limited knowledge of the subject matter.

The guide includes a further reading list, which is somewhat limited, and law-practitioner orientated, but this may be a criticism of the dearth of other material commercially available. Of more use may be the comprehensive list of contacts of relevant bodies, which includes names, addresses, and even websites!

Although published in association with the UK Museums Copyright Group, this guide deserves a wider readership of anyone who creates or exploits copyrights in the UK. If your budget only stretches to one book on copyright, this should be a contender.
