An engaging introduction to jurisprudence

I have occasionally read the works of jurisprudents in some depth and, in the main, have focussed on specific points of detail. I therefore read this book not as a novice, but as one seeking a pattern in the tapestry of thought. Tebbit's book helped to provide this overview. I can only imagine it will serve equally well as an introduction to those who know little about the subject.
