This book is good with amulets and spells but some of them are quite hard as i'm only young.I also find it hard to get all the stuff you need.

I shoplifted this book also, in those wacky teenage days. And I'm still glad I didn't pay any money for it! These are bad books, these are the books that make people think all witches, pagans, druids, wiccans, all of us, are evil. Buy this book if you need kindling for your campfire.

As a Pagan who is not Wiccan, it bothers me that many in the Wicca community are taking the same self-righteous attitude as Christians usually do against us. I can understand our hypersensitivity--we don't want to bring back the Burning Times, literally or figuratively--but why can't Wiccans accept that Wicca is NOT the only form of witchcraft? Why must every book about magick be an indoctrination into the principles of Wicca? That's like every book on church architecture preaching about Christ. Magick and witchcraft are much older and more varied than just Wicca, and we as Pagans have to get over our fear that if all our books aren't about "white light" and karmic retribution that the Christians will throw us in the fire. While I consider moral integrity important, some people scream about the Rede the same way Christians scream about hellfire and damnation. Let people read whatever they want and welcome a diversity of witchcraft and Pagan belief.

Despite all the bad reviews ,i think this is a pretty good book.Although i tried one spell &it barely worked-i think i did it wrong!Listen if u want to be amused,or get spells or have some fun-this is for you.if u want 2 learn the basics,focus mainly on gods,godesses,deities,spiritural gain,etc.fuhgedaboudit.I have come to the conclusion that this isn't the best book for beginners,this or book1.yet i find it positive that sarrah tells about her own experiences with her spells.Want a book about covens?read:INSIDE A WITCHES' COVEN by EDAIN McCOY.sarrah's BOOKs aren't AS BAD AS THEY SAY,BUT I THINK THEIR ARE better books.yet this one and book 1 is ok.and for the person that said in their review-that this book doesnt follow the rule(wiccan reed) "An Ye Harm None Do What Ye Will"-THAT IS ONLY BECAUSE IT HAD BLACK MAGIC IN IT-AND PPL WHO PRACTICE BLACK MAGIC R WITCHES, JUST NOT GOOD WITCHES. if there's anyone out there that wants to be friends with a witch(and thats what i consider myself to be-a little bit good and a little bit good bad.) email me.ProfaneBarbie6@alloymail.com.And for books with many kinds of magic -read books by migene Gonzalez-wippler. xXxXxXxXxXxXxX
