Having suffered from a mix of mental health issues in the workplace I immediately understood, recognised and identified with the content of this book. It totally demystifies the subject and would have been an extremely useful resource for my direct line manager as well as those supporting him in the HR team. Once the issues came to light I was extremely well supported by my employers but equipped with the early warning system in this book there's a very good chance that the situation would have been dealt with much sooner.

I've seen a pre-publication copy of this book and it really is excellent - hardly surprising really with endorsements by Cary Cooper and Sir John Whitmore! Any coach, mentor and similar, HR manager and welfare officer will find this book really useful with clear descriptions of the signs of mental illness and, more importantly, what to do when they occur.
This isn't just for trainees, or those without a psychology or therapy training, but for everyone in the field - the ethics and implications chapters are really thought provoking, but still balanced and practical.
