Anne Hooper's guides to the 'how' of sex are already best-sellers; this new, very readable and sometimes provocative book is concerned with the 'why' of sexual habits and beliefs. Drawing on her experience as a sex therapist, her knowledge of sexology, Adlerian psychology and the meme theory derived from evolutionary psychology, she has produced a wise and very readable book that corrects many of the damaging myths people have about sex and replaces the myths with facts. The book is experiental; it is there to help you alter any harmful sexual attitudes and beliefs society has imposed on you. Anne Hooper's approach to sex is humane, understanding, non-judgemental and shot through with humour and a deep understanding of people. The illustrations by Claudia Schenk are sexy, very alive and often full of sharp humour. A book to read and re-read.
