Only buy this book if you wish to give up drinking altogether. It is not designed to help you cut down to recommended limits - any alcohol at all is frowned upon. It is a very light-weight book (reflected in the price) and not up to the giving up smoking original.

I wondered why this "book" was so cheap, and having read it I realise it's because it was probably written, edited and published in about half an hour! Or at least that's how it felt to read it. It is rushed, preaching and full of very bad analogies that are not fit for purpose e.g. that of an ostrich sticking it's head in the ground. The blurb on the back of the book lies about the contents and says it will help you to manage your drinking which Carr has no design to do - only to make you a tee-totaller, all or nothing. This is shamelessly condascending nonsense that made me want to continue my drinking in protest! To think, the £5 I spent on this book could've bought me a vodka and coke!

I have to say that for a problem as serious as alcohol addiction, you would never have thought that a small book like this could help. I can't believe it, I just don't want to drink at all. I would never have thought I could say that honestly.
Don't miss alcohol one bit and I'm enjoying every minute of it. Perfect. Thanks Alan

I've read this book over the weekend and it's like a light going on. What an idiot I've been. Please, if you wonder if you've got a drink problem you probably have, read this book. It makes so much sense. Allen Carr is a life saver, I only wish I'd had this book to give to other family members!!

One of the greatest books written in the history of mankind .
If anyone tells you otherwise , slap them for being the ignorant peasant they are . Quite simply , Allen Carr uses his Easyway 'ethos' to make you realise that alcohol is merely a confidence trick - quick and easy to understand , and only a mug would fall for a confidence trick a second time after being shown how it works . He dispels all the myths about it being sociable , good for health , being a 'crutch' , providing us with courage , allaying boredom etc . Anyone with half a brain cell can read this book from cover to cover and be not just happy , but ECSTATIC , about not drinking afterwards . Be warned though , it's all or nothing !
