A good introductory book

This is a very clear, thorough and easy-to-understand introductory text into abnormal psychology (or psychopathology). Alan Carr is very good at explaining things in detail, and this books' descriptions are enhanced by specific case studies highlighting key charateristics of certain "disorders". Where the book lacks, and thus fails to gain 5 stars, is a failure to provide theroretical perspectives on treatment - and in this case one may be better off looking at Paul Bennett's introductory textbook or The Handbook of Adult Clinical Psychology, which is edited by Carr.
