Great little book Rating (5) Date: 2008-05-03 I got this book in its French version which is a very small paperback and assuming contents are exactly the same as the original Australian book which 'Bake It' is, it's a very good little book and very good value. It contains 100 recipes and also some basic and unpretentious explanations and equipment recommendations for those who have never really baked. It has a good variety of cakes and biscuits with simple ingredients and explanations that are within everybody's reach. I bake quite a lot and have already done 3 or 4 of the recipes so far and they were really excellent and I will do a lot more of them. In fact, I want to try at least half the book recipes. Those I have already used surprised me, their simplicity didn't correlate with the result. The downside is that it's very no frill and definitely won't be the trendiest book on your shelf! Also, as it's an anonymous book, it lacks the modern appeal of a chef behind it but once you've baked a couple of good things, you won't care about that.

Perfect baking every time! Rating (5) Date: 2007-12-11 I adore this book! I have never been terribly good at baking but am keen. A friend bought this book for my birthday and it is truly wonderful. So easy to follow and understand, and every single recipe I have tried, I have followed to the letter and the end result has been perfect! First class.
