Having had several books on how to cook game this is the one I use most. Have recently bought another copy to give as a Wedding Present.

This is a beautifully presented book in itself. Before I even looked at the recipes I looked with wonder at the photographs of fish, birds and animals which abound throughout the book. The recipes are grouped by the fish, animal or bird, and there are sufficient recipes for each to give variety. None of the recipes are difficult - the sort of thing which ordinary persons would cook for themselves or for a few guests at a dinner party - if you are looking for haute cuisine in this you will be disappointed. Quite apart from the recipes themselves there is a section covering sauces which can go with the recipes, and also the months when the various items of game are in season. The section on fish relates to fish as caught by the angler and not those fish more commonly found on the fish merchants slab - in short, this is by no means a general ccokbook but is none the poorer for that. But it is such a beautiful book that should be kept well clear of the kitchen stove - for those who enjoy country food definitely worthy of a buy!
