Any programming beginner's nightmare is what he sees in the first few chapters at the first glance; some will just switch themselves off at this stage. However, Mr Mcbride, has dealt with this tendency very effectively, using his first hand experience as a teacher in a classroom, rather than being a mere programmer.In this book, Mr Mcbride has brought about the marriage of two unusual companions - the skill of teaching and his own creative programming skills. All along in the book, he has ingeniously dealt with the most trickiest sections of this particular language with relative ease. I am fortunate to lay my hands on such a great book, that inspired me exponentially ever since then, to do programming. Hemantha Abeywardena.
