Local Area Networks is a large and complex subject area, with a tendency to be a little dry. Mr Hodson's style is flowing, making you want to learn, he makes the subject interesting and eminently understandable.The questions throughout, as well as at the end of each chapter make sure that you have understood the concepts at each stage and keep you concentrating. I bought this book expecting to dip into it during the course of my studies, but to my own surprise, read it from cover to cover! If you are new to data comms or networking and want good, straightforward explanations with useful diagrams, then this is the book for you.
