i absolutely adore this manga, the plot races at lightning pace, and is always brimming with incredible action and a deep sense of mystery about the ancient powers that some of the characters posses. It is well written, with a good balance of comedy and deadly serious drama, (lots of blood too!)
Another striking feature is the incredible drawing, which captures the epic battles perfectly and does the story justice.
Although the truly great sequences only begin in later volumes, it all has to start somewhere!

The art looked good and the lighthearted nature of this manga caught my interest at first, but after reading into it some more, the storyline is hard to keep track of and very rushed, and the dialogue seems to have little bearing on the events going on around it in some cases. Entirely failed to keep my interest.

This is the first volume of the Samurai Deeper Kyo Manga Graphic Novel Series. (Incase you dont know what a graphic Novel is, its basically similair to a comic book but it has a deep story line like a navel.)
This Manga has LOADS of Comedy and Action in it which will want you to carry on reading and also want you to collect the rest of series.
Another cool feature of this manga is the fact that they kept it in its original Japanese form ( meaning that It reads from right to left) and all of the text is the proper translated meaning.
With all the Manga Books available nowadays you cant really make a choice of which one to get, but this one will definatly be worth your money and most importantly it will be a good choice.
So once again i recommend this book to all Manga fans or even if you want to start getting into manga.
