This was the first manga book that I bought and read, and is still, by far the best series I've read too. Although it's rating is 7+, don't let that fool you, Jing has a LOT of adult humour; in particular his partner, Kir, who is a bit of a womaniser (lol).
Basically, Jing is the notorious King of Bandits, a thief who is extremly good at his job. The twist to the story is that Kir, a crow, is able to latch onto his arm to form a sort of gun and unlesh 'Kir Royale' a single energy ball attack (although jing prefers to try and use his arm blade or general tricks to fight). This first book in the series is split into three different stories (or 'shots'), and each one is varied as are the faces that you meet.
Graphically it is very good, with a few, more 'colourful' double pages for the larger scenes, and is done in the traditional style (right to left; this is very easy to pick up). Although at first some of the pictures are very basic, you don't really notice this and enjoy the story and humour more anyway.
If you are new to the manga world, this is a great place to start, but if you a vetren, you may find that it's good, just a bit slow at first. Don't worry however, as the pace and stories do pick up as you go along, and you will defiantly won't regret buying it.
