Qwan is a lively upbeat yet mysterious young boy with amnesia. He travels with a cute/weird little creatue called 'Teikou'.

The story focuses on the scroll Qwan must find in order to find out who he is, why he has his powers, and what he has to do with them.

At first, you'll feel like you're reading Dragonball or Saiyuki (which isn't a bad thing really) but then you'll see it for what it is. Some things may be fondly farmiliar, but 'Qwan' is definitely a unique manga- a unique story, with unique characters.
It seems like Dragonball and Saiyuki because they are all based on the story of the Monkey King. ^___^

The artwork is absolutely AMAZING, and despite a bit of panel confusion sometimes, you're always desperate to find out what happens next.

The English translation is wonderful. I know sometimes in manga books translation leaves much to be desired, but in Qwan the translation has been great.

I hope you consider buying this book. I'm really enjoying it anyway.

Surprisingly good! :D

First off, I bought this pretty much on a whim. I was in a bookstore, and I just thought I'd buy some Manga in their offer (4 for 3 was pretty darned good). But as soon as I started reading it on the way, I became totally absorbed in it. There was a pretty slow start, and it was a little confusing so I went over a couple of pages a second time. But once I'd finished the first chapter I couldn't help but read on!
I'm only dissapointed that I hadn't known that the publication was so recent sooner, or I would have spaced out the 3 volumes a bit more. A top read, which I heartedly recommend to any Manga fan and the like!
