Excellent book

I have always enjoyed mathematics and can't see why so many people dislike it. I have read quite a lot of the other books in the mastering series and I bought this as a reference and I also intended to help my nephew with his mathematics.

I had passed an 'A' level in mathematics approximately 30 years ago and as a graduate in mechanical engineering and a qualified accountant, I have studied quite a wide range of mathematics especially as applied to enginering and business problems.

This book seemed straightforward and clearly laid out and for the most part it concentrates on traditional mathematics to around GCSE standard. It covers arithmetic and mensuration, basic algebra including quadratic equations and basic statistics, geometry (including some proofs as well as construction), three dimensional figures and trigometry.

My nephew who is only of average ability in mathematics found it useful.

Highly recommended.
