The Media Freelances Bible
Rating (5)
Date: 2005-12-13

A friend recommended this book to me although I’m not a freelance in either television or radio. I’m a freelance photographer and although this book wasn’t written with photographers in mind, it was indispensable in helping me plan, start and maintain my freelancing career. While this book is specifically aimed at freelancing for television and radio, Mitchell’s advice echoes to those freelancing in the media in general. I found that while there were sections and subsections that were of no use due to my particular medium, there were more sections and subsections which either applied or were extremely useful to me. This book handles a wide range, if not, the full range of issues and information that a person looking to start or expand a freelance career in television or radio is looking for. In addition to this, I’d recommend this book to those media freelances that need guidance or information on issues that media freelances intrinsically deal with on a day-to-day basis.
