My disappointments in this book arise from the high expectations I had placed on it. After a car accident placed a close friend into a coma 18 months ago, from which he is unlikely to ever awaken, I was hoping to learn a great deal about Edwarda and her exceptional mother. I was hoping for some true biography offering a real insight into how Kaye lives every day, the little details of every week and a general scope as to her life over the past twenty-odd years as carer to Edwarda. Edwarda's state, signs of progress, and views and accounts provided by the doctors and nurses who also care for her would have added greatly to the book and provided a much more balanced and insightful story. Instead what I found were the same points being constantly repeated, and an emphasis on the miracles rather than the lives of Kaye and Edwarda. It seemed a rather shallow account overall and while I respect the author for not preaching his faith, the Christian over medical or humanitarian focus of the story prevented it from being as good a book as a story such as this has the potential to be. I am touched by the love of Kaye. I certainly don't regret having bought and read the book, and am grateful and inspired by the love of Wayne Dyer and his wife for embarking on this project with such pure intent. In it's intention it is pure, unconditional love, as a work of literature however, it failed to provide the depth or literary talent I was looking forward to.

Rarely are we so blessed as to glimpse into the life of a person who truly understands the meaning of unconditional love. This unassuming, genuine love is truly an inspiration to anyone at anytime. A must read for all.

My view of life, and how I perceive its daily struggles has forever been changed. All who read this book will be touched by its message, and wish to share the greater truth that lies within as examplified by the lives of Kaye and Eduarda. In addiiton, all of the profits go to these two wonderful people who carry a great financial debt. Wayne Dyer wrote this book in homage to these two women who are living examples of unconditional love.
